The 5th Basant Festival 2026 was successfully held at Carrigaline Community Park, Cork, bringing together over 1,200 visitors for a vibrant celebration of South Asian culture, arts, music, food, and community spirit.The festival featured colourful kite flying, traditional dance performances, live Bhangra and Dhol, art exhibitions, creative workshops, authentic South Asian cuisine, and family-friendly activities, creating a memorable intercultural experience for people of all backgrounds.Once again, the Basant Festival showcased the richness of South Asian heritage while promoting diversity, inclusion, and cross-cultural understanding, reinforcing its place as one of Ireland's leading multicultural community festivals.
